Thanks to the innovative approach that characterizes KONG, Frog was created, a revolutionary carabiner equipped with automatic clamping that takes place at the moment of contact with the anchor point.

Produced according to a design developed in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, the Frog is a completely new carabiner, both in appearance and mechanism. Frog makes the concept of a “hook” carabiner obsolete.

Insertion is extremely quick and safe, even in “far” anchor points, difficult to reach with standard connectors. Automatically tightens on contact with the anchor point. Special for anchoring on metal ropes and connectors. Tested many times in the production process. Fully patented product.

Kong carabiners are made entirely in Italy.

Rules for caring for the carabiner:

Clean muddy/dirty carabiners with clean water, a washcloth and/or a soft brush. Air Dry – Never dry on a strong heat source. Every gear component where metal rubs against metal needs lubrication to keep it running smoothly. For carabiners, dry lubricant should be used instead of oil as commercially available oil will cause dust and dirt to build up. Grease should be applied to all holes when the carabiner is in both open and closed positions. Especially important: After use near or in the sea (where there is a high concentration of salt in the air and water), clean the carabiner immediately to avoid salt damage to the metal of the carabiner.
